Back to the subject of the Christmas show, I did my very first solo this year, it was a packed house and I felt like a Christian being thrown to the lions the audience were doing Mexican waves etc before I went on so they were really fired up and I thought oh no they are going to expect something really good here (I'm in my 50's and only do single jumps) but they were great and clapped at everything I did and didnt do, the next performance was a bit worrying when my coach fell over behind the curtain and badly injured her leg, the ambulance came and she was lying there with a drip in her arm and still telling me what to do, what a professional!!

Our show

My clubs show was a total stuff up. I didn't do the show because of chicken pox but I watched it on the DVD and it totally looked like the organiser only new how to put people in skate school into preliminary groups and throw in heaps of wheels.

Thank you! I've had my hair cut quite short again, and lightened it, but what I might do is blag a "schoolgirl wig" from a friend at my rink who has one (the skater who did a mix of St Trinians and "I do like to be beside the seaside" at this year's Bracknell). And I think I'll go for a more 1950s-style skirt, too (again, I think I can blag one, but if not, they're easy enough to make!), rather than the 1960s-style I wore before whiich seems to have ridden up under my shirt:

Great picture Annabel, brought back some memories, I think your ideas for the new one will definately work.
Cheers

Thanks for the encouragement Michingansk8er, my coach is making slow progress she is going to need a lot of physiotherapy, I will let her know that people across the water are thinking of her.
