How old were you when you started competing in each of your Disciplines?

Say, I don't know if I've asked this before. But how old was everyone here when they first begain competing in EACH of the Disciplines they do? For ex. how old were you when you first competed as a Singles/Freestyle skater? Or if you do more then that, please say how old you were when you first competed each Discipline. Synchro. included.

Hmm, I first competed freestyle in 2001 so that would make me 43. How did I do? I was terrifed and it was all I could do to go out on the ice. I finished last.

It was a few years later I first competed dance - the cha cha and I FORGOT the steps. I finished last.

I only ever competed in singles. I think I was 11 when I did my first competition. It was in ISI FS 1. I placed dead last

ETA: Duh, I completely forgot that I did compete with a synchro team (before it was called synchro). I think I was 10 or 11 when I first competed with them.

I think it was ten years ago this summer, so I would have been 44. That was solo dance. Husband and I first competed as a couple in 2000, so I would have been 46 or 47, depending on which side of my birthday the competition was, which I can't now remember; all I remember is that I had a filthy cold!

First competition was on my 39th birthday, it was a good way to turn 39!
