training at skating camps--what goes on?

This year, I have decided to bite the bullet and sign up for NaNoWriMo, or National Novel Writing Month. The idea is that during the month of November, you try to challenge yourself to write a 50,000 word manuscript.

Anyway, what I need information on, and some personal experiences as well, is that of the goings-on at a summer skating camp. I've attended a local camp for us adults, but that's it, and I'm sure is nothing like what standard-track skaters experience. If there's something particular to pairs, I'd also like to hear about that. I'm putting two of my main characters in such a situation.

I've already tried to do some research myself to see what some of the bigger clubs in the country offer, but haven't found much in the way of schedules or typical agendas, so I was hoping some of you here could help me. Personal experiences welcome--real-life inspiration is great and gets my wheels turning...
