Yes, be sure to keep an eye out for those changes that have been declared urgent and those that will go into effect at a certain date. Your coach will likely receive information that details any changes and updates from the PSA and USFS shortly, if he/she hasn't already, and the USFS recently posted their Combined Report of Action on its website.

While we're at it...in addition to the changes to Preliminary and Pre-Juvenile levels, Junior free skate test has been changed to include one step sequence for both ladies and men rather than one spiral sequence.

My club has a test session coming up on May 28, and our test chair forwarded all coaches an e-mail sent out from Wayne Hundley, Chairs Test Committee, which stated:

The junior free skate test has been revised to require only one step sequence – formerly the men were required to do two step sequences and the ladies were required to do a step sequence and a spiral sequence. This change will take effect on May 15, 2009. If you have any test sessions before then, it’s still the old rule. Any tests taken May 15, 2009, or after will go by the new rule. New test sheets will be available soon, so make sure that you use the proper form.
Just some things to pay attention to. Luckily, you found this out during a critique and not during an actual competition, and you'll probably only need to take out one jump--and make certain that your following the restrictions on doubles.

My daughter coach called us the day before and said the PSA email said June 1, but the USFSA page said urgent. We asked before she skated since we were coachless and they said just leave it in. After her critque they told us even though it was ruled urgent, the judges really wouldnt enforce it till June 1.

DDs friend is Pre-Juv and they have been trying (coach) to get a hold of the competition chair to see if the rule would be in effect but no response (it is tomorrow)
