Shine--
Went to a nice double session on Saturday and got to run thru my program 2x (once cruddy, once better) and there was lots of room for MIF practice.

Then last night, I had a really good practice and skated my program the cleanest I've ever skated it. It was *so* much fun--I felt like I was taking my time with each element. I really really want to skate it that way in competition. Right now I'm tinkering with bits to clean it up and hopefully ramp up the jump content a little (but I don't want to put in things that I'm not consistent on yet...)

Also did two patterns of the backward power perimeter stroking, pushing the hardest I ever had on them. After the second time round, my thighs were burning!!

Rain--
My spins are all wonky--still haven't recovered from vacation....

Kiwibabe--I hope your husband is feeling better soon!

That sounds so cool! Just remember your timing when you are competing so you don't speed it up (you get nervous/excited and it happens). We start putting some elements into a "program" this week. I wont compete until Skate Annapolis or something like that. We just learned those back power perimeter things-my arches hurt with them!
