Even at 7.30 on a Saturday morning my husband said that "it was too crowded to go backwards by himself"..... it was pretty crowded for patch ice, but we got a fair amount of work done, nevertheless. We couldn't find any corner circles that weren't in use to do our runs, so did them round the centre circle, and managed to get all 4 circles (clockwise and anti-clockwise in Kilian and reverse Kilian holds) done during a lull. We worked hard together on our swing rolls, inside and outside in Kilian hold, focussing on holding our extension back until "two" had been counted, and not moving the free leg until "Three" - something we both, but especially me, find difficult - and we also worked on them in waltz hold. Rather faster than Robert expected, as Tango music was being played so I made us do them to that tempo!
We spent a bit of time working on the end pattern of our Swing Dance, which is better than it was, which wouldn't be difficult, and then Rob went off to work on his solo dances and I worked on my free dance for a bit. I still don't like the ending!

Today I decided to go out on the ice and just have fun. My competition is only a month away and I am running out of time to get my one foot spin with my foot crossed. Having fun was the best decision I have made in two weeks. I skated so well and I am almost getting the spin. Best of all as I was leaving I ran into my coach who told me she saw me working hard out on the ice!
