Could someone explain to me the difference....

What is the difference between what the judges are looking for in ISI Artistic and ISI regular competitive stuff? I just did a competition / Artistic FS 4 and discovered that as well as i did, in order to beat the other lady, i needed more difficult jumps. She did a loop/loop combo, and 2 cambel and i did not. I did, however have a sit/change sit and some jumps, plus some footwork. I would have added more stuff like hers in, but thought that being artistic meant it was more about interpretation of the music.... I was actually a bit mad because i thought the Artistic would be just that -- artistic and less pressure. I had chosen that because of lack of prep time on my part . i just wanted to do something more fun and less pressure. Any feedback?
