Skated badly, Performed Well, PASSED DANCE TEST !
Okay, I'm excited. Last Saturday night was our local Artistic Competition. I compete at Adult Silver.

My big achievement this year was not totally freezing with performance anxiety. About 5 mins away from our warm up I realised I was actually looking forward to it, and for me that is a huge improvement.
I didn't skate well; in fact I fluffed every element except a toe-loop. I skated really badly BUT I performed really well in my presentation of the program.

So many people came up to me afterwards to say how much they enjoyed my program. And although I came second(out of 2), they actually instigated a new award for Most Entertaining Performance, so I got that award.

The next morning I tested Elementary 1 Dance, the Canasta Tango and Dutch Waltz. I had reconciled myself to passing only the Tango, if anything, but I passed them both !!!!

Pretty pleased with my weekend's skating !!
