OK, I told Amy I wouldn't post until she started her own good news thread, but since she isn't tooting her own horn I will. She had the kind of test skate that we all pray to have! She looked strong and steady on the ice, no sign of nerves at all. Beautiful edges, strong and smooth connections between her elements. Her jumps were well landed with good height and speed and her spins, especially her sit spin, were nice and fast. She had a tough panel of judges, too. Both of the Adult Gold tests that were skated after her did not pass, even though they had strong skates. Welcome to the Bronze crowd, Flutzilla!

Well done!

[b:d80a0f3819]Can you give a detailed report?
What you wore?
What music you skated to? How long?
What elements?
[/b:d80a0f3819]

The test!

Thanks again to everyone for your well-wishes! I still can't believe I passed, I have to keep looking at the papers to remind myself that I did it and it's over! Yay!

Mel, here are the details for you

My music was a cut of "Classical Gas", the original version from the 1960s. I wore my FS competitive dress, which is a sleeveless purple dress with sequined trim. Here is the list of the elements I did in order:

back spin
toe loop
ina bauer/falling leaf into salchow
lutz
straight line footwork into waltz/toe combination
sit spin (I need to lower this a bit more)
loop
scratch spin

I wanted to use my competitive FS music but since the elements are so different (I don't even do a salchow in my competitive program because it is by far my worst jump) I opted for a new cut of music so I wouldn't be as confused had I had two different programs to the same music.
