The freestyle levels in isi are when you start doing jumps and spins etc. You can compete in those levels also. Your private coach tests you for the level you will compete. So those arent just the group class levels one can compete in the beginning levels also. It's more recreational and for those who just want to skate for fun! In the US our freestyle sessions are through the rink not our club. We usually only have one club session a week for 2 hours. You have to have passed a certain level and be a member of us figure skating.
