We are doing an ethnographic field project, were i am trying to find out how parents react to a child in a sport like ice skating. I have a few questions for you to answer and get back to me. 1. What made your child want to be involved in ice skating?
2. Have you, yourself, every participated in ice skating?
3.What age did your child get involved in ice skating?
4. How long has your child been an ice skater?
5. Is your child in any other sports while in ice skating or not?
6. How do you feel when your child hits a jump or does the routine correctly? (in practice and competition)
7. How do you feel when your child misses a jump or does the routine incorrectly (in practice or competiton)
8. How does your child feel when he/she misses hte jump in practice and/or competition?
9. How does your child feel when he/she hits the jump in practice and/or competition?
10. What are your comments to your child when they do something correct? or incorrect?
11. Are you a coach as well?
12. What do you see in your son or daughters future as an ice skater?
