Book recommendation

Our daughter gave us for Christmas, a copy of Figure Skating: a History. All resemblances to Hermione Grainger's favourite book aside, it's actually extremely good - and, best of all, it's not just about the elites. Them too, of course, but at the end of the book there's a chapter on the fastest-growing part of the sport - adult skating! And a picture of certain regulars from the first Mountain Cup.

My husband checked that book out of the library for me on a Friday, and I spent the entire weekend reading it. It is excellent!
