I don't see how an alphabetic poll makes any sense at all. If it were by USFS regions plus Canada(maybe Canadian subdivisions also), UK, Europe, Asia, etc it might mean something.

Um, Canada did not invent skating.
You can credit that to the Scandinavian countries and/or Holland. It was the European who brought skating to the Americas.
