Hi - I'm looking for music for a new bronze-level freeskate. I am looking for a waltz, but something that is not too 'old-fashioned' sounding. So, a modern waltz. Any ideas? Since it's freestyle, no vocals please.

How about Waltz 2 from Jazz Suite by Shostakovich? It was used by one of the US men last year (I can't remember who) . I liked it a lot and actually made a cut for myself, but wasn't comfortable with a waltz tempo so I didn't use it.

And I love Shostakovich so that's a great suggestion! Thank you...will take another listen.

I quite like Mahoney's Debut from Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium. I actually really want to skate to it, but I don't think it really fits my skating style at this point. Maybe someday I'll be soft and pretty enough
