Save Aberdeen Linx Ice Rink

I was just told by a skater at my rink, that my former rink in Aberdeen is facing closure thanks to the council deciding to make cutbacks. That's despite the rink making a profit!
Apparently closing it will save them £600,000 a year. They say they'll open it again in time for the curling championships in 2009. However, they promised us a new rink at Richmond all those years ago and we never had one. So we can't afford to let another rink in the UK close.
The closure date is set for the end of March.
The people at the rink have set up an online petition which if people can sign it might help persuade the council to not close the rink but to work with the rink to save money or make more money.
