what do you have in your skate bag?
This ones just a bit of fun really. I was rooting around in my skate bag yesterday and realised how full of junk it was
 and I wondered what sort of stuff was in everybody elses? Mine has:skates with soakies blade guards tissues(some used eeewww!) skate tape a skatemate (sharpening tool) 1x Knee pad, 2x pairs gloves a blade towel packet of anadin packet of cough sweets half bottle of water an ancient cereal bar and a lace pull

Hmmm
My skates of course. Those big puffy skate soakers My pretty hard guards. Pink and blue that glow in the dark Tissues My iPod holder. It straps around my wasit and keeps my iPod cozy. POTC soundtrack Eight pairs of gloves Sno-seal Stuff to spray inside my skates so they don't smell like feet skate towles extra laces lace puller chap-stick female things and whatever else I feel like I need that day.

My skates and soakers
blue sparkly hard guards about 5 pairs of gloves extra tights extra jacket thin socks leg warmers cotton balls to put between my toes if they rub pirate bandaids ponytail holders skate towel some general trash a copy of figure skating for dummies and a trashy gossip magazine. I think I'm going to add some tissues before I skate today.

Ha! What DON'T I have in there....
My music My daughter's music 4 pairs of gloves (2 are mine, 2 are "loaners") chapstick hairspray, hairclips, bobby pins, rubberbands, brush screwdriver socks stockings gel crash pads lotion sweater soakers blade guards my skates tissues mp3 player my journal that has-another copy of my music, routine on 3x5 card, homework list on 3x5 card, pen-so I can take it to the boards with me candy and a granola bar, sometimes I throw in some nuts Water bottle $$$$ money for stuff in the vending machines or snackbar (hidden so my son can't use it at the arcade) extra set of laces towel for wiping down my blades safety pins bandaids that's all I can remember off the top of my head.....

Hmmmm.....my bag weighs a tonne and it's not just down to the skates. Good thing it has wheels!
I have in my bag:- skates hard guards soakers gloves wiping cloth tissues deodorising shoe spray music CDs spare laces spare ankle tights oval bungapad bunga sleeve plasters (band aids for you in the US) ibuprofen tablets tiger balm deodorising wipes screwdriver pen notebook calculator Probably other bits too but that's what I can recall off the top of my head! I have soooo much stuff in my skate bag its not even funny!
Skates (of couse) Gaurds Soakers Towel I think 5 Pairs of Gloves Hairspray, clips, elastics, brush Blister pads Bandaids Mole Skin Pens, Paper Jump Rope Water Bottle Skate Tape Markers Skating Music Scisors Skating Socks Gel Ankle pads Screw Driver Extra Laces Thats all i can think of right now ! This thread reminds me i should clean out my skate bag!

Hmm...I have a very large lime green suitcase and it's pretty full. When we carpool skates to be sharpened (45min plus drive) we can put three pairs in my bag....
I have in it - my skaters in soakers my hard guard - purple and blue extra hard guards (saving for when these wear out) 2x bunga ankle sleeves mints hair elastics scrunchies inhaler that I almsot never need hair brush and hair spray lock and key for my bag (sometimes used at competitions if we're leaving for a while) 3x towels to dry my skates stinkeez that i should put in my skates but forget half the time 15x gloves (I have almsot every solid color and a bunch of stripes) makeup remover (left over from a competition, should take that out...) random ladybug keychains (my rink/coach has a thing for bugs...) a pair of socks fleece zip off pants fleece/lycra leggings fleece jacket a pen pink folder that I keep our sign for our locker room in (keeps the hockey players out) photos from the last competition, papers left over from competition i should throw out (all in the folder) tights and dress that I wore, got changed and forgot to take out! and a copy of SKATING that I was reading during the break today.

Damn, I think the contents of my skate bag are pretty boring.
skates soakers - thick, turquoise terry towelling guards - clear black microfibre towel for blade drying and forehead mopping bunga gel sleeves fingerless cyclist gloves daughter's gloves - in case she tries to tell me she hasn't got any plastic bag holding bandaids, paper tape, gel patches plastic bag containing white microfibre towel, white boot covers. 2 x spare tights tissues. spare undies, leggings, t-shirt (it gets wet at our rink in warm weather, and a spare set of clothes is essential otherwise it's a long, soggy drive home) Yep, pretty boring, I'm afraid

One 25 cent piece (for telephone call for bail money) and various unrecognizable bits Hey, not much! I have only been skating for 9 months!

Awww - my bag looks really sad and pathetic in comparison. But I have only been skating for two months!
Skates Skate guards (candy floss pink - I'm such a girlie) Blade soakers (purple ones) Gloves (to prevent finger sliceage - something I still worry about) Manky bits of tissue to wipe my blades (I really need to get a blade cloth  )Money Progress card (for Skate UK - currently at Level 4) Extra pairs of knee high nylons Plasters Ipod (not been brave enough to take it on the ice yet though )Mobile phone And that's about it so far - I am sure my bag will be filled with about ten times more crap in another two months time, if my normal bags are anything to go by!!

-1 pair skates -1 pair soft guards -1 pair hard guards -2 sweaters -2 pairs of tights (1 footed, 1 footless) -1 pair leggings -skate tape -scissors -money -3 pairs of gloves -wrist splint -2 water bottles -extra laces -cloth -mini journal -mini kleenex box -2 packs of hair clips -granola bar -1 cd -1 casette tape

Blimey, how do you manage to make it all fit?? I don't think I have a particularly small bag, but I wouldn't be able to close it if I put anything else in there. I know - I've tried

Skates Unicorn Soakers Shiny pearl hard gaurds 2 pairs of fleece mittens(no circulation in my body whatsoever, multiple times I have been asked by first aid tech "How are you still alive?")  Wrist guard for each wrist as I've broken the left one twice and the right once 2 dresses Skirt Pants Overboot tights Footed tights footless tights gel ankle socks 3 different program music (including copies so 6 cd's in all) My sister's music Socks for after in case I've forgotten Jeans because I was to lazy to change out of skating attire and then to lazy to take them out Kleenex Inhaler, so I don't die... Advil, Tylenol 3 different brands of Bandaids excluding bandaid because I'm allergic Homework that needs to be done hair elastics brush club jacket and sweater oh and food, becuase I get hungry I think I got most of it...probably not though it really desperately needs to be cleaned...

A picture is worth a thousand words
 It's like a clown car exploded, don't you think? My favorite things are the skates (of course), the little sockball filled with silica and lavender, the blue "Zamboni.com" lanyard with a skate hook, and the little Coca-Cola keychain "ICE COLD" that has a thermometer! (It's always cold in the rink!)
