My foot doesn't hurt a lot while skating ... the nice cast-like quality of the boot is helpful in that regard.
But I'm afraid how it'll feel after the 8 or so hours of camp on Saturday!

I might skate at Brewster on Fri. sometime during that 9am-2pm public session. Will you be there? And any suggestions on where I can get my blades sharpened?

Sorry, Tara, this made me laugh. But it's not true!

Hey Marna,

I think Tara meant Tom Kohl. Tom skated at Adult Nationals in Lake Placid in 2004 in Bronze Men III. He had a spiral fracture of his leg back in December and has been working his way back. He has been skating pairs recently and will be doing pairs at the camp.

A-ha! So that's at least six pair teams!

ok all the questions at once.

novaskater...I will have plenty of tape on hand as i tape both ankles everyday, so if you need a quick fix i can hook you up. Brewster on friday? i have An Acupuncture appointment at 9:30 then i plan on skating from 11:00-1::00. i was going to go to the harvey school in katoinah as it is a little closer and a freestyle session. but it is only like 8 minutes further to brewster. either rink is doable . email me at icecate@aol i'll give you my cell and we'll talk . i would love to skate with you while you are in town that day...lets talk tommorrow.

loops, yes i was talking about Tom Kohl. He had a terrible fracture on the ice this year but is back in enough time for pairs camp, add him in the pile with stephens sprained ankle , jasons black eye, my decrepit hip, and we look like a physical therapy clinic instead!!!!

frankR....I spoke too soon, i had to tighten a screw today..skated one hour and apparently all day yesterday with one screw in my heel.....yikes!! the tell tale sign was waxels and popped camels hmm....nothing an empty water bottle and gorilla glue won't fix!!!

A: depends on whos throwing you and how much you lied about your weight on your pairs profile

a can of stickum : $5.95
the email asking "how do you get this sticky stuff off " ...priceless

OK; I am hopefully getting my skates sharpened tomorrow morning; I left them at the rink this evening. Then I am gonna need to skate on them for a while to whittle them down and feel comfortable during the pairs camp, so I figured the public in Brewster would be perfect.
I have your cell phone number--you gave it to me at Adult Nationals. I'll call you tomorrow ...
