Exercises for Power Pulls?

I have been working on powerpulls in lessons for the last few weeks.

We have been working on back and started on forward today.

The problem is my leg muscles are killing me after a few hours off the ice. I know I must be using muscles that I don't normally use that much.

Anyone have any ideas for exercises that would focus on the particular muscle groups involved so I can build them up.

This yoga pose is good for working those muscles. Stretching your quads & hip flexors might help with the soreness as well.

Your attachment leads to a general yoga site -- which pose are you referring to?

Maybe you are doing too much of this new skill during a session and have not built up to it yet. Make sure you take breaks from it and intersperse other skills. Do it for w few minutes at a time and work on other things in between.

Do you lift weights at all? If you belong to a gym, working on your quads and hamstrings should help.
