"Accountability Partner"

New idea coach came up with (I think that it comes from Alcoholics Anonymous) is an Accountability Partner. The idea is that if another person witnesses what you do then you are more likely to do it right. So you find someone and ask them to watch as you do x,y, or z.

For one of the kids working double sals she has to have someone watch her entrance for 4 jumps each practice and show them she isn't rushing the jump.

For me, I have to look someone in the eye (to prove that I'm not watching the ice ) while working my back 3's.

That's kind of like the idea of having a training partner for skating. I have a friend who skates and we both yell at each other to do our mandated laps after running our programs. It keeps us honest (and tired!).
