What about one of those skirt that dancers where - you know the shortish wrapover ones that you wear over a leotard? A few of the dancers at our rink where them and they look nice.

I wear this wrap skirt. I'm short, so the short length is more figure flattering than a longer skirt.
That length may be too short for an ice dance skirt, and taller people may find that skirt too short. There's another one in a slightly longer length and another one that is much longer. Mirella doesn't retail directly to the public, but most dancewear web sites (e.g., Discount Dance Supply) and catalogs sell these and similar skirts by a variety of brands. The brand Trienawear carries some pretty print skirts, and MStevens carries short solid color skirts. (I tend to like how the Mirella skirts hang the best.) I prefer the ones in georgette over the ones in chiffon, which tend to be too sheer for my liking.

Actually lots of 'street clothes' are very dancey styles right now. If you look through a store like Charlotte Russe, you can find tons of stretchy skirts w/ handkerchief hemlines & cute styles/colors. Probably pay less for them than you would from a dance supply place.
