What moves have you tried to do at a Public Skate?

Say,I don't think this has ever been brought up in a thread. But if you just skate for fun and don't really have any moves. I was wondering what moves you have TRIED to do for yourself at a Public Skate? I myself have tried a Spiral and a Sit Spin.

Depends on how crowded the session is at the time.

Today, I skated on a public session with one other figure skater! I did MITF patterns, jumps, spins, spirals, everything!

If it's crowded, I won't do any "foot in the air" maneuvers like spirals or camels. Split jumps also a no-no and if it's hard to find open ice for jumps, I'll skip jumps.

I can always make a back spin, even a tucked one, work on a public. Sit spins are good, but someone could trip over you and get hurt.

i do left and right lunges, and crossovers on the hockey circles. if it's not too crowded, i would do spirals and even run through all my forward and backward edges down the blue hockey line. mostly i stay in the middle part of the rink that gets coned off for jumps and spins and work on waltz jumps, salchows, toe loops and spins. usually there's only 1 other freestyle skater with me in there so there's plenty of room.

I've tried most everything, but camels are only for the less crowded. Kids are stupid and come right into your path even if you watch out around you going into it.

I've tried almost everything I can do on publics, because our rink didn't have patch. I agree, certain things are for very empty public sessions only - backwards spirals and camel spins and lutzes are definitely among those things.

I have *not* tried a normal backwards spiral, only a biellmann. It's too scary, somebody could seriously get injured with a blade. Other than that I've tried (doesn't mean it worked) on publics:
axel, lutz, flip, loop, salchow, toeloop, waltz jump, falling leaf, bunnyhop, sit spin, scratch spin, back spin, 1 foot spin, camel spin, layback spin, attitude spin, biellmann spin, biellmann spiral forwards and backwards, Y spiral backwards, fan spiral, normal spiral forwards, change-edge spiral, shoot-the-duck, hydroblade, forward and backward 3 turns, crossovers of all kinds, chassees, all sorts of stops, all kinds of mohawks... I'm probably leaving out some stuff I tried.
