attitude-layback spin
I'm working on the attitude spin with aspirations to do a layback spin.
I've been confused on where to place my free leg to center the spin before bringing it in back. is it front, side then back, or just side then back. does either way make a difference? thanks!

bring it to the front, then bend it and bring it to the back

Side and then back if you can center from the side. By side I mean 2:30 for a CCW skater. It's easier to get it back from there.

Side and then back, as everyone has said, my leg actually goes back now....

I'd say more to the front than the side, but at around 2:00, not all the way to 12:00 like a scratch spin. I center much better if I bring the right leg to 2:00, center the spin, then turn out the free leg and let it fall back behind me as the left hip continues to lead me around in the spin.

Put it wherever you can get your center, then bring it back. I keep mine in front and then relax it and let it trail.

I hold it to the side then let it flow back.
