A bit late, but...

Cool Breezes

The footwork in my Bronze FS/Silver compulsory program is getting so much stronger! I can now do the RBI rocker without putting my foot down about 95% of the time.

New coach gave me some tips on my loop & salchow which have made them much bigger and more secure.

Sweltering Heat

In my first lesson with my new coach, I didn't exactly skate as well as I normally would because I was a bit anxious. It's been a while since I had to go through the new coach adjustment period.

Cool breezes: Back from competition in skate asia and did better or same than expected.
Rotated two double salchows (at least) ... hop out and two foot on one and plain fell on other.
Landed two axels: one by itself for artistic and one in combination for freestyle
Did my best flying camel in competition yet (4 rounds... looong way to go need more rounds but still happy about this) First time doing I-spin(side split spin) and it was successful, first time doing camel-layback-back sit spin in competition and accomplished that twice although camel needs more rotations.
Skated on a proper olympic sized rink at last and it felt great... no more bothering about the walls! (although back to small rink again now)
Landed a double loop in practise.

Sweltering heat:
Footwork needs to improve. Edge + speed....
Shenzhen was so hot I thought I had a fever half the time I was out in the sun. I love the rink but I'm glad I'm home now.

Yeah, but at least you don't have to do an "eyes, hair and teeth" day and all the back-to-school shopping for them, and still find out on the first day of term that they forgot to tell you they'd grown out of their tracksuit (or whatever).....

Although you do have to double-check that they have absolutely everything they need for their competition.... especially their bow-ties and cummerbunds, which are apt to get mislaid.
