Good luck this weekend, Tidesong! That axel will be perfect!

Isn't there somebody else competing this weekend?

I extend good luck wishes to everyone competing this weekend as well!

I'm in 4 events at the Sweetheart Open here in St. Louis - two solo events (freestyle & complusories) and two synchro events (short & long). I'm not too nervous about anything BUT the new synchro short, which is brand spanking new.

ALRIGHT, MEL!!!! :D

Sorry I didn't get to see your solos.

The team did very well. Your new dresses looked terrific. The short program came off well. Yes, the team needs to practice it more, but you only finished learning it two practices before the competition. The long program was stellar as always.

I had to laugh when they had all of the teams out on the ice for awards. The announcer forgot to announce the winner of your division and started asking the skaters to leave the ice. At first, none of the teams moved. Then the announcer again asked all of the skaters to leave the ice. A few of the teams started moving for the exit, but most stayed. Finally your coach and I caught their attention and they got the proper paperwork to announce the gold for your team.

Nothing like being forgotten after you won a gold medal. ;)

The axel wasn't there(fell)... not to mention that I killed the combination spin as well and I travelled on the layback.
I got second (out of two ppl :p)

Oh well, I don't even know if it was nerves... I didn't feel nervous, just off... coz practises were off.

Anyway I went back on the ice yesterday and landed axel half loop flip !?!

congrats to you tidesong, it's still a great feeling to get a medal, isn't it? My best event, the one in which I skated flawlessly, with speed, power, expression, etc. I got silver.

I know the feeling, Tidesong. Why can we land them in warm up put stick them in the program and they go away? As long as you had fun, then that's ok!
