Painting silk

Hi,
Does anyone have experience with painting silk fabric? I have dyed other fabrics for a varigated effect, but have not tried silk. I am ordering Waterrcolors products for my final costume, but needed something this month for a show, and wanted to try to give the painting a try.
Any suggestions?

There are special dyes you can use on silk - you can get them at art supply stores. They work great.
