Changing my password

I have struggled with this for months. I messed up my old password somehow, and could not get in, so then the site assigns me one that is not one i'd remember easily. I use it to get in, but... everytime i want to reset it to something easier, it gives me what i just mentioned. HOW do i reset it for something I want???

In the uppr left corner of the screen, select the USER CP in the dark blue line.
On the next page you'll see at the left top "Edit your profile." Select that.
On the next page you'll see a button "Edit your profile and password". Select that.
Next screen follow the instructions. You'll need the password the site send you,
