Ok fellow skaters!! What I want to know today is..what Discipline(s) your coach themselves did as a skater? If they still skate. Please name the Discipline(s) they do now. My Learn to Skate coach Caitlin was a Pairs Skate. Ok skaters...GO!!!!

Mine did singles when he was younger, then switched to ice dance for his main career--I think when he was around 12 or so.

I work between 3 coaches - my main coach did singles, my dance coach did singles then dance, and my presentation coach was a professional ballerina, not a skater.

Mine did all three disciplines, I think, but his main love was and is pairs.

My group coach I've been with for almost 3 years and he was a high level pairs skater. He's on wikipedia, which always amuses me- because he's not a "name" that most people would know.

My singles coach was a high-test ice dancer.

My coach was a junior gold medalist in pairs skating, she competed for several years. She's awesome. :)

My former coach had her golds in figures, dance and freestyle. She competed in the Olympics against some big names back in the day.

My one coach has her gold medal in figures and FS and competed Senior Ladies at Regionals. My second coach has his gold medal in figures and FS and competed Junior Men at Nationals.

My fabulous coach was a show skater performing in Ice Capades and Holiday on Ice. She has her Golds in MIF, Dance and Freedance, and is now testing through the levels in Pairs.
