My students love side hops! It is a basic hop at level Basic 5.

Hi FSWer

When I first learnt how to skate, I loved bunny hops. They were fun.

Front slaloms! I like anything that I can do with both feet on the ice, since my balance isn't anything to brag about. Slaloms feel cool, look cool, and it's almost impossible to fall down while doing them (forwards anyway). They're also a good exercise for finding your edges.

When I was in learn to skate, my favorite move was a two foot spin and then lift one foot off the ice. It was my first proud moment besides learning how to stop.

my Favorite moves are pretending :) I can..., oh like Biellman
spirals. Eventually, I'll actually hold my blade looong enuf, & above my waist enuf, to actually look nice :D - 'til then, I just keep imagining, playing, pretending, learning, & dreaming, just like I did when I was shorter ;)
