Dear All,

I heard a lot of stories about skating shows to raise fund for some purposes. One of my kids school's beloved teachers had this rare breast cancer. Her treatments so far not being effective. Our church passed out flyers calling members to chip in donations in all kinds of ways to help her and her family. DD and I tried to organize a skating show for fund raising for this teacher so that she can travel to Texas medical center to get 2nd opinion and might be a new treatment. However, we had never been in any kind of this type event. Could any one give us an idea how to organze this fund raising show? Currently, here is my list:

Locating the rink
negotiating the renting price (how do we do that?
Call for skaters who might volunteer to be in the show
Make poster to advertise the show
How much should the show price per ticket be? $10 for kids and $20 for adult. Is it reasonable?
Find volunteer to sell the tickets
Should we set up a non for profit fund trust first?
How do we issue tax deductible document for people buy the tickets or even extra donation

All suggestions are welcome. Thanks in Advance!
