Which dress do you guys like better? I want an all purpous dress that I can use to compete/test in in the near future.

For the second one, I was thinking lavender/plum. I guess the lavender is supposed to be more burgundy.

On the first dress, I think I want a pink, red, or black base, but am undecided on the top color.

Any suggestions?

I like the second one- but it might just be because of the color, which doesn't apply since that isn't the color you are getting. (Maybe it's my monitor, but the first one is an "eww, what were they thinking" set of colors)

It's easier to wear a bra- or at least body tights with tank style straps, but the x-strap makes it less likely that they will fall off.

So, my conclusion- I don't know.

I'm no help at all.

I think definitely the second one. From what i hear the judges don't like the test dresses to be too busy or would take away from the test/skater, and i think the first one is too busy.

I think you should go for the second dress. It's much more elegant, the [soft] colors blend nicely, and its a little more formal, which is good for testing.

It's hard to tell if the second dress has any sort of stones on it; if not, I think you could really add some sparkle to it quite easily while still maintaining the classy, dignified look of the dress.

Another vote for the second one. Much more elegant and simple.... and much prettier with stones on it too! :D

Thanks, I'm leaning towards the second one also, but just wanted to make sure.

Dress # 2

ITA that judges prefer test dresses simpler. I also think the over dress thing detracts from clean lines.

I also prefer the second. But, because I just love to mix things up, I'm throwing in a third.

I have it, and it is sooo flattering. I absolutely adore it. I'm wearing it in a couple of my youtube videos. Obviously the hot pink and turquoise won't work for the colors, but they offer plenty of other colors.

I don't think the picture of #1 does it justice. My DD has the dance version of dress #1 that she uses for solo dance competitions. The top is silver and the bottom is black.

Another vote for dress #2.

The second dress is much more elegant and pretty. The first dress, at least in that pic, feels kind of juvenile. Which is fine if you are a juvenile, but otherwise? Not so much.

And even for a kid, for testing, I'd pick the second dress.

I think that, unless you are as thin as the model in the pictures, the first dress could look dumpy.

The second one would look good on all body types.

Even with a third dress added, I prefer the second by a mile.
