Say,does anyone know were I can get Mens Figure Skates? Size 7? Sports Athoridy was called. All they have is Womans skates. Dicks doesn't even carry them. So were thinking we might have to order on-line. BTW. would anyone here know if Carballas sells skates? Thanks.

Go to the pro shop at your rink and have them (1) measure your feet and (2) order the right skates for you.

Don't try to buy them from sporting goods stores or discount places - you need the expert help in getting the right skates for you. That way you won't end up with another pair of the wrong skates, like the hockey ones you just returned.

Dana, bring your mom or one of your staff over to the computer and have them read the replies to this thread. We are giving you good advice.

To whoever is helping Dana shop for skates: Do not go to a regular sporting goods store. Call the rink, and talk to the pro shop. It's best to have skates fitted in person. You can order them through the pro shop if they don't have the right size in stock. They will also know the right brands and models for a skater of Dana's level. Make sure they know he wants figure skates, not hockey skates. You can also order figure skates on line. Rainbo Sports in Chicago (www.rainbosports.com) is one possibility. You can also call them at (847) 998-1000. I've ordered skates from them for years, and they're very helpful. There are other online sources as well, but it's really best to have skates fitted in person if at all possible.

Good luck, Dana!
