Hi guys-
First time posting here, so I apologize if this isn't the area to ask this. I'd like to pass my pre-bronze mitf and freestyle before a competition in March, but my club is not hosting any test sessions in that time. Does anyone know of any in the New Jersey area, or any guidance on where I could FIND that information? I checked out a couple of random club sites in NJ, but nothing so far. And the testing sessions page on USFSA.org didn't have any NJ or NY that I saw.
I really appreciate your help!
Stacy

Hi there,
You might want to check out Yonkers FSC (Murray's rink in Yonkers), Rye FSC (Westchester Skating Academy), or the SC of NY (Sky Rink at Chelsea Piers). You can PM me if you need more help/ guidance. I've tested will all three of these clubs and it's been a very different experience each time. Good luck with your test!

BTW is the competition you're testing for Sectionals? If so, I'll see you there!

The North Jersey FSC (http://www.northjerseyfsc.org) holds a monthly test session at the Ice Vault Arena (http://www.icevault.com) in Wayne, NJ.

Last season, the tests were held on the next-to-last monday morning of each month. However, so you should contact the test chair to be sure. The contact info is on the test form below:

North Jersey is a great club, especially for adults. I used to skate with the President and his wife at Fritz Dietl's ice rink in Westwood, NJ.
They were both adult skaters, which explains the support and encouragement that comes from the Club.

Perfect - I will check these out. I won't be skating at sectionals - the competition is the non-qualifying North Jersey Adult Championships at the Ice Vault. I'm very excited!
Thanks so much for the information - I really appreciate it.

I am President of Garden State Skating Club and (subject to final confirmation) we'll have a test date Friday morning Feb 1st if you are interested. The rink is located in Wall Twp.

LWalsh- I didn't know you were president down there! I took my Gold MIF test with Garden State FSC over the summer, and it was a great experience. It was very well organized and well run. Thanks!

I'm so glad to hear that! I think that was the one test session I was out of town for over the summer, so we never met. Sorry. Everyone is welcome!

Hi everyone-
I just received confirmation from my test chair and the test chair at Ice Vault that I'm in for the December 17th test, for my pre-bronze mitf and then freestyle. Hopefully will pass both! Thanks to all so much for your helpful info. It's only a week away, so not too much time to overthink or get too nervous.
