I seem to do this "turtling" thing when doing my camel - my head kind of comes up, i guess because i am trying to look up like i think i was told. Any tips on getting better "alignment?"

Think "parallel" when you are on your entrance edge and throughout the spin, so that you envision your entire body and free leg staying level and parallel to the ice. Also, I find it helps me to think, "chest down, chin up".

I think stomach down, chest up, chin out. Plus stretch everything, when your arms are bent it takes away from the speed. Also to get a good entry bend your knee and stick your butt out, this keeps your stomach down. After you hook the spin squeeze the area of your lower back, love handles. As one olympic gold medalist told me "till it hurts, this this figure skating". It will lock your position so you don't sway, like a see saw.
