...my first ever skating test (Preliminary) last night. Only 6 more levels to go, with 4 dances per level, to get to the Olympics :P I'm still on a bit of a high, and relieved I never have to do that pattern again. (Note for non-Aussies - the Prelim test here is not a freeskate test - it's the basic 8 figure edges in a circle pattern.) To say I was bored with it would be an understatement :) .
I was getting ready to test the baby dances a few months ago when Coach pointed out that candidates for dance need to pass Prelim before they can test anything else. Now I can move onto the Elementary dance tests (Dutch and Canasta, then Fiesta and Swing). Maybe by the end of 2008 I might have passed a dance or two!
