Thanks! I had an extended b-day celebration--had dinner out at a tapas place with DH the day before because he had to work yesterday. The treat of the evening was dessert--they had strawberry/vanilla cake with marzipan fondant on the top. (I LURRRVE marzipan.) Then I skated on my actual birthday, and today co-workers took me out for an ice cream cone. Mmmmmm.

I looked on Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/August_22#Births) and other people born on 8/22 include Claude Debussy and Dorothy Parker, which I knew, and also Deng Xiaoping, Henri Cartier Bresson, John Lee Hooker, Ray Bradbury, Tori Amos, E. Annie Proulx, Norman Schwarzkopf, Carl Yastrzemski, Bill Parcells, Mats Wilander...
