For those of you who are familar with both areas, which one do you prefer skating wise? I am surprised that skating in Boston seems more expensive than in bay area.

I'm assuming you mean the San Francisco Bay area?

Skating in Boston depends on where you go and when. There are a lot of rinks, some public, some private, some seasonal, some year-round - and prices vary.

I don't know that San Francisco has as many rinks so maybe the prices there are less varied.

Thank you for your information! I checked a rink in boston and was so surprised at the price for group lessons ($20/30min)
