How many days must pass between failing a test and taking a new one?

(No, I haven't failed- I'm just preparing my schedule.)

(No, I haven't failed- I'm just preparing my schedule.)28 days per the USFSA rules for retrying the previous test!

Nope, the plan doesn't work. i only have 25 days between them :)

(The test session I was going to do was delayed, so I was going to try to do an earlier one and sign up for freeskate at the later one. Then if I failed my MITF, I would call and beg them to switch my freeskate to MITF and retake it. But of course, I can't do that, as it isn't enough days in between)

Hey! Don't be silly! You're going to pass that test!

Unless it's just a really really bad day. But I think I'm going to sign up for MITF in Des Moines and then freeskate in CR. Assuming Des Moines still has room in their test.

Crap- where am I getting this money from?

(I know I could save $15 by taking them both in Des Moines- but JUST in case I fail... you know? I would still (probably) have time to cancel the CR test)

28 days per the USFSA rules for retrying the previous test!Hmmm, I thought it was 27 days. Or is it 27 days between the test dates, so therefore you couldn't retry until the 28th day?

I agree with quarkiki - you won't need to worry, b/c you'll pass the first time! :)

You've never seen me skate! And she's never seen me do moves!

So should I just do them both at the same session and save $15 for guesting fees? It just seems like a lot of pressure, you know?

As I recall, you can retest on the 28th day. Rulebook at home so can't check exact wording.

Don't know if the online test registration capability checks automatically to see if it has a record for USFS #999999999999 having gotten retries on Novice MIF (for example) on 1 Apr 07 if a test chair is trying to register them for a Novice MIF test on 21 Apr 07.

I remember hearing that in the old days (pre-online test registration, when test reports were manually created and snail-mailed to USFS) skaters would sometimes deliberately go out of club/area to try and retest before the magic 28th day. Figuring that they wouldn't get "sussed out". Don't know what happened when the various test reports got sorted out at USFSA. I assume that the invalid re-test would have gotten tossed.

As someone who's failed a couple of tests multiple times, you have to wait 27 days and may retest on the 28th day.
