While I do not skate pairs, I just got a e-mail from my coach that the WBP requirements for Adult Pairs are up on the USFS website under "Judging Systems" So for the few we know that are pairs afficionados (lovepairs, pairsman2, NoVa, careygram, et al) have fun!

Thanks Terri. Now, let me go and look at what they've cooked up this time...

The only changes that I see from last year are:
-Pair spins for Champ/Masters/Gold Pairs must now have 5 revs on each foot if there is a change of foot (was 3 last year)
-Solo spins for Champ/Masters/Gold Pairs must now have 5 revs on each foot if there is a change of foot (was 3 last year)

were these changes voted on during GC? in the standard track, the pairs committee voted on well-balanced free skates (items 58 and 59 on the GC's report). however, i did not see any changes voted on for adult pairs, unless i have overlooked something in the GC report.

I did some digging and found that it was established as 5 revolutions last year -- at the 2006 GC:

Is it possible that this year's 3 was a misprint in the rulebook? It's clearly 5 in the 2006 combined report of action.

A misprint? That *never* happens! :P

LOL, I almost answered my own question with that. :)

I don't have my rulebook handy, but does it say 3 in the current one?

they misprinted last year's WBP which were printed in the 2007 AN announcement, and whatever is printed in the AN announcement supercedes anything written in the rulebook.
but if this year's is not a misprint, they also left out the Note on page 606 of the rulebook: 'all solo jumps may only be repeated once and only in combination or sequence'.

Here's the link for all the WBP requirements (singles, pairs, and dance) for adults in the 2007-2008 skating year:
