it depends on which type of synchro team you want to train. Our team is a middle of the range sort of festival junior team. we have one on ice practice and one off ice practice a week (usually). while our adult beginner, canskate and juvenile teams only had one practice a week. some festival teams practice much more, and competitive teams train every day for the most part

Say, btw.,is there a difference between off-ice practice and off-ice trainning?

well off ice practice is more running through the steps and getting the heads and arm movements in sync...the off ice training would be more the endurance and stuff you'd do individually

My team (collegiate; competed open-collegiate this past year) practices 2 days a week (Tues/Thurs. mornings) from 6:00-8:00 a.m; however, when we have major competitions or an exhbition coming up, we often increase our hours/days on the ice.

We also do a ton of off-ice...mainly at competitions right before we go on the ice. We focus mainly on walking through our program to the music over and over, keeping on time to one another, presentation, etc.
