CASTING UNDERWAY FOR
DISNEY’S HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL: THE ICE TOUR
PRINCIPAL AUDITIONS TO TAKE PLACE IN APRIL IN LAS VEGAS
Auditions Are Invitation-only; Deadline to Receive Portfolios is Monday, April 2
(Vienna, VA, March 26, 2007) -- The cultural sensation of “High School Musical” reaches a whole new level of “cool” with Disney’s High School Musical: The Ice Tour. Casting for this ice spectacular – which encompasses three touring units –is underway. Principal auditions for the coveted lead roles of East High School’s own Troy, Gabriella, Ryan, Sharpay, Chad and Taylor will take place in April 2007, in Las Vegas, NV.
The global ice tour will feature world-class figure skaters in a live fusion of songs, dance and team-spirited fun to celebrate the music of the Emmy® Award-winning Disney Channel Original Movie, and its sequel “High School Musical 2.” Disney’s High School Musical: The Ice Tour is being produced by Feld Entertainment and Kenny Ortega and mounted in cooperation with Disney Theatrical Productions.
In addition to the 18 principal roles being cast on April, more than 100 figure skaters will be selected to portray ensemble characters in one of the three companies that comprise the global tour. Disney’s High School Musical: The Ice Tour is expected to play collectively more than 100 cities in its first year alone.
Participation in principal auditions is by invitation only. To be considered, skaters must be must be at least 17-years-old and a High School Graduate by July 2007. Senior-level skaters wishing to be considered send a portfolio by MONDAY, APRIL 2 to:
