Fellow skater recognized

I skate with several other adults here at Ohio University, and we're a tight knit group.

In a human interest story just posted on the university web site, fellow skater Carole is recognized for her skating and her recent medals at various competitions. It's a nice story about one of the passions of a faculty member here.

Pretty cool. I used to skate with one of the professors who taught at my school. I never had her, she taught mostly upper level classes in a different area, but she was telling me all this stuff that goes on at the university, if I ever took a class in her specialty, which professors to avoid, which ones are more sympathetic to having other classes and gives you enough time to finish your assignments.

Although I think it would be a little strange if I skated with one of my professors that I had. I would never be able to say I was sick if I missed class, because they would undoubtedly see me at the rink.
