ELEMENTARY 1 LEVEL
TECHNICAL TEST
A free skating program of 1-1/2 minutes duration (+/- 10 seconds) to music of the skater’s own
choice (vocal music with lyrics not permitted). The following elements must be included:
a) Flip jump
b) Lutz jump
c) Three jump / loop jump combination
d) Upright spin with one change of foot*
e) Sit spin*
f) Camel spin (parallel spin)*
g) RFO Spiral
h) LFO Spiral
i) Straight line step sequence covering at least half the ice surface including three turns and
Mohawks on both feet
* All spins must have at least 4 well-centered revolutions; 3 on each foot for change of foot
spins. The exit from the back spin in the upright change foot is not required to be on the
spinning foot. However, demonstration of good control during the spin and the exit is required.

And also a Pattern

FIGURE PATTERN TEST
A set of four figure pattern exercises, comprising a series of continuing circles of approximately
one-half the height of the candidate, incorporating:
a) Forward outside, forward inside, back outside and back inside edges
b) Forward and backward cross-overs
c) Forward and backward changes of edge
d) Forward and backward three turns
e) Mohawks.

That freestyle test sounds like a combination of the Adult Bronze and Adult Silver tests. That's a real accomplishment!

if you mean me, Hobart in Tasmania. I am not at all sure that E1 is realistic, but I passed Bronze under the old test structure back in '84, and I think it would be good for me to work towards a test. Gives structure and a definite focus.

h) Straight line step sequence covering at least two-thirds of the ice surface including at least three turns and Mohawks on both feet
* All spins must have well-centred revolutions. The exit from the back foot in the change foot sit spin is not required to be on the spinning foot. However, demonstration of good control during the spin and the exit is required.

Repeats

Up to two elements may be repeated without music at the Judges’ discretion. Elements must be executed in either the program or the additional attempts without falling in order for a pass to
be achieved.

Pass Marks
Grades of Execution: Not more than one element may be marked at -2 and all other elements
must be marked at -1 or higher.
Components: A minimum of 3.0 for each component (ISA modified requirements).
