My dd11 is starting to learn her single jumps - has waltz, loop, flip, salchow sometimes - what typically is the order you learn jumps, going from singles to triples? What is typically easiest to hardest?

Thanks!

Generally speaking, the singles are taught in this order:

waltz jump
toe loop
salchow
loop
flip
lutz

then comes axel, & depending on the skater, sometimes the coach will also start work on the first double. Sometimes the double gets landed before the single axel does. Many people's first double is the salchow.

Also, the toe loop and salchow, and flip and loop, are pretty interchangeable as to which one of the set gets taught first.

my coach taught me this order:

waltz jump
toeloop
salchow
loop
flip
lutz
axel

some coaches teach salchow before toeloop, and some coaches teach flip before loop. Because those jumps are kind of similar in difficulty level.
