For my 2sal and axel i dont cross my legs but i get full rotation. Does anybody have tips on how to get your legs crossed on those jumps? I want to get them crossed so i dont form bad habits for 3sal and 2axel. Also, i dont get distance on the jumps, i just stay in one spot and land. I took some videos of me doing the axel, and my leg isnt going straight up, it's swinging around. I've tried really hard to bring my leg up instead of around but i have a mental block and no matter how hard i think "jump up" i still swing my leg around. Any tips on how to get my legs crossed and jumping up not around?
thank you so much

i dont have a video of my 2sal. but i do have one of my axel, but its from a couple months ago. My axel might have improved a bit since then, but its basically how it looks.
i'm kind of embarrassed :??

Maybe try to jump "up" more? It looks like you're swinging your free leg around to get the rotation, and aren't getting much height. Maybe if you got up into the air more, you'd have more time to cross your feet.

From the video it looks like your rotation is initiated on the land and not snapping it in their air

For height and distance: Keep your left shoulder checked in front more on the entrance, and really concentrate on bringing your right knee to your left hand directly in front of your chest. Kick the free leg slightly outside of the circle instead of into it. A little more speed might straighten you out. The LFO edge is curling around too soon.

For crossing your legs: You're not getting a backspin position in the air because your right hip is leading in the entire jump. Practice doing a pivot to a backspin - put your right toe in the ice, do one LBI push and turn/snap into a backspin.
