using a spinner?

I was at the rink Saturday and happed to see a girl who had really great spins. So I asked how she did it, and she told me that she had a lot of initial trouble with it, but eventualyy it really helped her to use a spinner.

so i was wondering if any of you have had any experince with spinners and if they are any good in improving spinds noticeably.

Also where can i get one? They don't have it at my pro shop.

I wouldn't say the spinner helped my spins all that much...but then, spinning doesn't come easy to me regardless. The trick with the spinner is--you have to be pretty darn perfect on it, or it will buck you off like an unbroke horse!

I had a lot of fun with my spinner anyway. What did help is that I had some soft-soled shoes with a heel the same height as my skate boots, so spins felt very similar....without the shoes on, there was a noticeable difference in where I wanted to put my balance.
