View Full Version : Metatarsal pads?

Does anyone have experience with Bunga metatarsal pads (http://www.bungapads.com/shopping.cfm?page=details.cfm&product_id=META) or their metatarsal gel strap (http://www.bungapads.com/shopping.cfm?page=details.cfm&product_id=MGS)? Off the ice I pamper my thin, bony, defenseless feet with big squishy shoes. While I love my Klingbeils, they are, of course, totally un-padded. After 60-90 minutes of skating, the balls of my feet feel like someone's been whacking them with a stick.

Either of these products looks perfect for what I need but I wanted to get opinions, if possible, before shelling out the $$$. Do they work well? Why would the pad be preferable to the strap or vice versa? I think I'd lean toward the strap because that elastic band that holds the pad seems potentially annoying. On the other hand, I could also use the pad in other metatarsal-torturing shoes e.g. pumps and it would be invisible. Hmm.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts!

Call Klingbeil first and tell them about the problem. The bottoms of my husbands feet hurt in his new Klingbeils and they gave him different insoles from the originals, which solved the problem.

Thanks, I will definitely do that!
