Just wanted to let everyone know that the Skating club of Wilmington has posted the announcement and entry form for Skate Wilmington. It's at:

http://www.wilmicesk8.com

They have pre-bronze free skating! And compulsory moves event, and a team event for adults, too. And interpretive. And showcase. The deadline for entry is June 19.

Anyone else know of any other summer competitions? (Maybe we've already discussed this, but what the heck...)

Pat

mskater- That's funny that you couldn't get the link to open. There's actually two links, one a word document and the other a PDF file. Anyway, I see on the entry form they have masters interpretive and masters novice through senior events.

LWalsh-- I couldn't find the announcement for the Moran competition on the Ice House web site. Do you know if it's out yet?

This is the link to AAFSC's site which has a link to the announcement. http://www.angelfire.com/nj3/aafsc/

Last year there were only 3 Silvers but there were two groups of Bronze ladies.

This thread got me thinking that I'd really like to do more than one competition this summer. So I went poking around the Internet and found the Garden State State Games which is in NJ at Mennen Sports Arena. It says that this competition serves as a qualifier for the State Games of America which is held every two year (next one is Hartford CT, 2005)

Has anyone ever done this competiton? They offer adult FS events. I can't seem to find a previous year's result to know if there would be any other adults that actually show up.

Hmmm...skate, then eat chocolate. Works for me!

Cactus Classic in Scottsdale, Arizona, hosted by the Coyotes Skating Club of Arizona is July 23-25

It has all levels, is a FCS event, and adult beginner, pre-bronze, and bronze are all 18 and up. There's also a 2 minute solo OD category for pre-bronze dancers and up
