Survey interest

Hi,
Thanks to all of you who expressed interest in a survey, and offered to help!
I have been contacted by the Adult committee, and they are working on a survey, and are very interested in the opinions and needs of the adult community. As soon as I know specifics as to availability, I will pass it along to all interested.

Wow! I am impressed! I remember you made a point of saying that this was your own survey and not associated with the USFS and now you write that the adult committee contacted you! Can I ask who specifically from the adult committee contacted you and some more particulars - your design with their imput? Your responsibility totally? Would they be willing to make a note about it on their web page?

Count me in! Thanks for initiating this!! The more people who participate the better. Now that the USFS has expressed an interest and IF they would be willing to make note of it, then perhaps we can reach many non-competitive/testing adult skaters - they should have a voice too!

Hi,
Thanks for all the interest and offers. The plans are for the survey to be distributed at Adult Nationals. The adult committee is also very interested in reaching the 18-24 year old population and so I have also suggested that it be made available on line, as this would also make it availiable to those not attending AN. They are very interested in skaters comments, and understand that while they can't make everyone happy, there is a need to know the skating population and receive its input and comments. As soon as I know more I'll pass it along.

Please remind the adult committee that not everyone will be attending Adult Nationals! Some of us just can't make it there, even though we test and compete elsewhere.

I'm also interested in participating and would appreciate an online survey (I would be happy to even have something downlodable and mail my answers on hard copy, if they don't have time or resources to set up something that would allow for online submission.

That would be a good place to distribute them from. We have distributed a lot of surveys at different events at Lake Placid over the past years. The response is usually fantastic.

If the only respondants will be Adult Nationals competitors, they're going to get a pretty skewed set of results. In my club, for example, there are anywhere from 8-12 adults who compete at some point throughout the year, and others who test only. This year, there are only 2 of us going to AN.
