I am an adult skater who cannot get much ice time right now. I would like to buy an aerobics video so I can workout whenever I have time at home. Can anyone recommend a good video for a routine that can be done in a small space?

Thanks.
Kay

It isn't really an aerobics video, but I really like the New York City Ballet videos.

A good website to check out is http://www.videofitness.com/ there are reviews for all sorts of different categories of workout video, broken down into different groups of ability.

I second the NYCBW vids, particularly the second one. Doesn't need a big space, or any weights.

I saw this (http://www.pro-motionharness.com/video.html) the other day, no clue on if it's any good or not.

Hadn't heard of that exercise tape until now. Thanks for the link, Azlynn!

If I were to spend that sort of money, I would probably buy Kat Arbour's book, instead. I always appreciated her articles in SKATING. http://www.icedynamics.net/

If you're just looking to stay fit in general, and not necessarily looking for something directly related to skating fitness, I'd recommend the Walk Away the Pounds videos--takes hardly any space and no equipment to speak of (like a step or a mat), and I've found that it's a reasonable workout--and the instructor is decently tolerable, unlike many. I've also used and liked the Kathy Ireland Total Fitness Workout.

I'm going to order the ice dynamics book, I'm injury prone unfortunately and like most adult skaters come to the sport with some long term nagging problems and my gym already has a lot of the equipment.

Let me know how you like it, JDC. My daughter has been mulling over ordering it for quite some time now, and I would like to get it for her for her birthday (if she hasn't bought it for herself by then).
